McCain proposes a "summer holiday" for the 18 cent federal gas tax.
This is completely asinine. What will happen is, people will be able to afford more gas, so they think. So EVERYONE will buy MORE gas.
So the price will eventually go up, because the AMOUNT of available gasoline for everyone's prosthetic human fat-ass mover to burn out the tail pipe isn't increasing!
It's decreasing! And the people who have Americans' former factory jobs -- Indians, Chinese and others -- are now buying cars and BUYING GAS TOO.
ANd America's "MIDDLE CLASS" HAS DISAPPEARED. We are ALL Lower Class now. When the world had expanding gobs of "infinite" coal, oil and gasoline, the elite (wealthy people) could have theirs, and toss us all some crumbs!
And now that the total PIE is shrinking, we are gettinga smaller and smaller SLICE!
I see many hundreds of Meerikuns bicycling now, collecting cans and bottles to make a few bucks, and riding 100cc scooters around town instead of fat-ass-licious Cadillac cruisers or Ford F350 whale sized (ego) trucks. Except for some loser holdhouts who haven't caught on yet.
China and India were full of bicycles and had no factories or cars. America had cars.
Now, China and India are brimming to the gills in factories and soon, cars too. And now Americans are giving up their cars.
So, America is becoming China, and China is becoming America.
Good grief. Well, FINALLY!
How long can fat americans be fat americans? It's better for our health this way. China/India had better learn quick and not become the isolated, anorexic, suburban nightmare with Prozac/Zoloft/Paxil that America became.
Our only cancerously fabuluous "GROWTH" industry of the last 30 years has been "FINANCE" and look where that's gotten us! Hahahaha!!!
What america needs to do is rebuild its infrastructure -- especially TRAINS, which PM ragazine "forgets" to mention.
Car companies will go the way of the Airline companies.
